JSGH Newsletter December 2020

December 2020 Issue: December 2, 2020

Message from the President

Dear JGSH Members and Friends,

I hope this newsletter finds you well. Despite some recent good news about vaccine development, COVID-19 is still going to be a significant part of our daily life for the foreseeable future, and could make this coming winter one of the longest and coldest in memory. Even though many of our holiday traditions and family gatherings may be disrupted this year, I hope that you all nevertheless find the community and warmth that is such an important part of this holiday season.

To this end, I’m pleased to say that JSGH is redoubling its efforts to adapt to this new normal, and offer our members more events and chances to socialize over this winter.  We have several exciting events that we’re collaborating to present in the next few months (see below), and are planning to offer more regular virtual events for our members to enjoy in 2021. We hope to see you there!

Seasons Greetings,

Peter Watson, JSGH President

JSGH News

A couple of weeks after we planted cherry trees, we met with several members and families for hiking around the Gillette Castle State Park ground. It was great to see many faces. We really enjoyed nice weather and beautiful foriages.

Due to COVID-19, we decided not to have our annual New Year Party this upcoming January. However, we are planning some fun online activities and networking events during the winter months. Please read the information about some of the events we have for December – January. Please register and join us for some fun activities.
